Breath, breath-holding, and Natural Movement — trained as one.
This is an immersion in the BreathHoldWork® method — breathing, breath-holding, and the trained attention that governs both. Natural Movement is how we integrate it. We practice in motion, on real ground, in open country, because real breath control and presence should hold when you're active, not just while you sit.
Four nights, three full days of instruction in breath, breath-holding, and Natural Movement, taught closely in person.
Eight people. Everyone seen, hour by hour.
The group is capped at eight, and the number is deliberate. With eight people I can see everyone — not as a class, but as eight individuals I am reading and adjusting for, hour by hour.
I pay the same attention to the person who speaks up and the person who doesn't. The reserved one, the quiet one, the one who looks serious and says little are tracked as closely as anyone. Nobody disappears into the group with me.
I meet you where you are, not where a curriculum says you should be. In the same exercise, at the same moment, I will give one person more, another less, another something different. I move between clear instruction and the piece of physiology that makes it land, between depth and levity, between precise correction and a story. The work is serious. It does not have to be solemn.
That stance does not change, first morning to last afternoon. It is the part of this I care about most, and it is what you are paying for: three days of being genuinely taught, in a group small enough that genuine teaching is possible.
Built on day one. Deepened across two more.
Day one is foundation. Breathing mechanics. Breath control. The breathing techniques that bring body, mind, and emotion to deep calm. The first gentle work with breath-holding. The metacognitive exercises that train the attention behind both. And Natural Movement — because breath and presence have to carry into movement and life.
Days two and three are the same work, deepened. Progressions of what we built. Variations of what we built. New exercises layered onto the base. We establish the foundation on day one and we expand on it for two more days.
What changes more than the work is the ground beneath it.
A few honest things about your body before you book.
It is not physically demanding. Natural Movement here is not exertion or performance — it is varied, gentle movement, done for breath and for the plain pleasure of moving well. Every exercise is customizable: take it lighter, take it harder if you want the effort, do a simpler version, or sit one out. If a knee, a wrist, a hip complains, I will find you another way to do the work. Nobody is left behind. Nobody is pushed into anything they don't want. The intensity adapts to you, never the reverse.
No experience is required. Complete beginners are expected — in breathing, breath-holding, Natural Movement, all of it. If you are anxious about breath-holding, here is the truth of it: can you hold your breath for ten seconds? Then you can do this. We begin that brief and that easy, and build only as far as is right for you.
You do not need to be in shape. You do need to be able to walk. Plan on being comfortable on your feet for up to about two hours over uneven natural ground, at an easy pace, with frequent breaks. That is the real requirement. If a long-standing injury or condition would keep you from that, this is not the workshop for you.
Be straight with yourself about health. If you are pregnant, if you have a cardiac condition, or if you live with any serious health condition, please do not sign up — we are active outdoors all day, at sea level in tropical heat, away from a hospital.
Erwan Le Corre
I am Erwan Le Corre, founder of MovNat® (2008) and BreathHoldWork®, and a three-time U.S. national static apnea record holder. I have spent decades developing and teaching Natural Movement and breath-hold training: methods for real physical capability and trained command of the nervous system. This workshop is those two bodies of work, taught together, in person, in the landscape.

From people who trained with me in person
"Every participant who attempted a maximum breath-hold achieved their personal record. But far more important than those accomplishments are the psychological insights that were absorbed through Erwan's teachings. It was a unique experience to train firsthand with him and observe his commitment to both the BreathHoldWork® practice and the lives of his students."
Conor Arthur"Erwan's teaching is remarkably adaptable, catering to each participant's specific needs while creating a safe space for real challenge. It left me revitalized, with clarity I hadn't accessed before, and meaningful connections with the other participants."
Eric B."BreathHoldWork® with Erwan was much more than just training breath-holding. I not only broke my own breath-hold record by over a minute in just three days of training — but more significant were the unexpected lessons I learned about understanding the mind. I came away with a new set of tools to improve my sleep, help achieve my personal goals, and manage my mind under duress."
Bryson Adams"My expectations were high — and they were clearly exceeded. I've studied breathwork for decades through courses, yoga, meditation, and extensive reading. What I consistently encountered was confusion and contradiction. Erwan cuts through all of that with remarkable clarity, and presents a level of practical, experience-based guidance on breath-holding that I had never encountered before."
"Before this training, my maximum breath-hold was 3 minutes 15 seconds — achievable only with heavy hyperventilation. By the final day, without any hyperventilation, I reached 4 minutes 35 seconds."
Robert TennantWho this is for
Depth, not novelty.
This is built for adults who want the real work.
You'll find your fit here if:
- You've read the breathwork books and want direct transmission from someone who has trained for years and set records under it.
- You're an athlete, coach, founder, or high-functioning adult who's tired of “wellness” and wants a serious method.
- You want to leave with a practice you can carry into your life, not just an experience you'll remember for six weeks.
- You want to train in a small group. Eight people, everyone seen, no one lost in the back.
Look elsewhere if:
- You want a spa week with breathwork as an add-on.
- You're looking for a therapy program or a religious / new-age spiritual retreat. This training can go deep, and be quietly healing, but healing and insight are byproducts — not the frame.

Questions
What people ask before booking
I've never done breath-hold work. Am I in over my head?+
No. Day one builds the foundation from zero. The method is a progression; nobody gets thrown in the deep end. Everyone who trains with me sets personal bests by day three — not some, everyone. And they don't inch past their old numbers, they blow them out of the water.
Is El Salvador safe? What about the U.S. State Department advisory?+
El Salvador is now the safest country in Latin America. The general travel advisories haven't caught up with what's actually on the ground.
We're based at Golden Sands Luxury Villa, inside a private, gated resort on the coast at Los Cobanos — a quiet fishing town, not a city. The resort's beach clubhouse is part of the stay: restaurant and bar, two large pools, basketball and soccer courts, direct access to the beach.
What if I have to cancel?+
Reservations are non-refundable, but never lost: pass your seat to another person, or shift your reservation to the next scheduled immersion with at least 60 days' notice. Travel insurance is your safety net for anything else; I strongly recommend it. On my side: in the unlikely event I cancel the event itself, every reservation is refunded in full. For corporate or executive reservations that require a formal invoice for reimbursement, email me directly and I'll issue one.
How do I get from the airport to the venue?+
Fly into San Salvador (SAL). The villa is about two hours by private car. You arrange your own transport — I can share driver recommendations after you book. Not shuttle-included by design; you set the terms of your arrival. If several participants land around the same time, I'll connect you before departure so you can share the ride.
What's the food like? Can you accommodate dietary needs?+
All meals included, from Thursday welcome dinner through Monday departure breakfast. Meat and dairy come from local ranches through a source I know and trust. Vegetarian and gluten-free options with notice. Serious allergies: tell me before you book.
What's the weather like in January?+
Dry season on the Pacific coast. Warm days (around 30°C / 85°F), cool evenings, low humidity for the tropics. Rain unlikely.
Can my partner come if they're not participating?+
Not on this one. Eight seats total, and the group dynamic depends on everyone being in the work. If you want private training with a partner, email me — I run those separately.
Wifi, cell service, and staying reachable?+
Wifi at the villa. Cell service reliable in the area. You'll be reachable when you want to be, disconnected when you don't.
Currency and payment?+
All prices in USD. Secure checkout with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
